Treasure Island Bar & Grill

airport concept    cliper

The menu seemed pretty good considering it’s a small bar/grill. Treasure Island Bar & Grill offers decent burgers and service for about $9 and customizable add-ons such as guacamole, different cheese, etc. Wings are definitely worth to try! Weekly food specials, breakfast, and happy hour food menu is a nice bonus. This this is also a full bar, with good cheap and drinks. Majority is a prominent local crowd especially during happy hour and night hours but it is not rare to see bridge workers, island employees, tourists, accidental car breakdowns from the bridges as well. The place has very diverse crowd. Treasure Island Bar & Grill also has outdoor seating, a few stools at the bar, and a few tables inside.

The view from the new bay bridge from Oasis is awesome! Especially at night. Prices are pretty cheap varying from $2.50 for fries and $3.50 for garlic fries and go up to $ 20. Oasis has nice dance floor, live band, and accessible parking. Bar had plenty of counter space and couches, mix drinks are inexpensive and tasty. Chicken wings cooked perfectly (they are not greasy or dry. Chicken wings, Greek salad and the garlic fries are probably the best sellers. Pizza is pretty good too. The seating outdoors at Oasis is lovely, sunny and green. The delivery is fast they also deliver food to your home.

Bliss Dance Weatherproofing Project

Bliss Dance" is a forty-foot tall sculpture by local artist Marco Cochrane that has graced Treasure Island's Great Lawn since 2011. Displayed under a Use Permit between TIDA, the artist, and the Black Rock Arts Foundation (BRAF), Bliss Dance has inspired countless residents and visitors to the Island alike with it's grace and beauty. Thanks to donations from a recently completed fundraising effort, the artist will be weatherproofing Bliss Dance and improving the work's interior lighting system in early 2013. Weatherproofing work on a majority of the sculpture will be performed in-place at The Great Lawn. Such work is necessary due to rust brought on by Bliss Dance's consistent exposure to the elements. Check back in the coming months for updates and pictures on the project. The Bliss Dance sculpture can be found at The Great Lawn, located along Avenue of Palms on the western shoreline of Treasure Island.
